We are the Clips Academia Europa founded by Magno Lopes in January 25th, 2018 with the goal to promote Capoeira as a source of health in Finland.

To understand Clips Academia Europa better we need to travel a little bit back in the days, when Magno Lopes (Mestre Petti) started to training Capoeira in Salvador-Bahia-Brazil at the Cultural and Sports Association Clips Academy – ACECA, an organization that promote the Afro-Brazilian Culture through social inclusion and Capoeira classes for kids, youth, adults and old adults. The ACECA was founded by Master Jorge Satélite, Mister João Fernandes, Betinho e Mota on November 24th, 1965. The beginning of its activities on the island of Itaparica, municipality of Vera Cruz and had the Master Jorge Satélite Master Jaime de Mar Grande, Master Rene Bittencourt had Master Paulo dos Anjos as their first master.
ACECA migrated to Salvador in 1978, to the neighborhood of Castelo Branco, and has already multiplied the capoeira to more than 5000 thousand students in those 59 years.
So, as you can see that Clips Academia Europa e ACECA are totally connected and here in Finland we offer Capoeira workshop with a duration of 1 or 2 hours in schools, universities, sports centers, gyms or work groups with dynamic activities and recreation.
Our mission is completely linked with social inclusion and promotion of the Culture of Healthy for everyone.

Nowadays we are member of the Finnish Capoeira Federation and together we develop Capoeira activities with the Harrastamisen Suomen Malli, FunAction and Nyt-liikunta projects organized by Helsinki City and Ministry of Culture and Education of Finland.

Here we would like to present you a short biography of Magno Lopes as well known in Capoeira as Master Petti.

Hello my friends,

My name is Magno Lopes, as known in capoeira field as Master Petti, 39 years old and natural from Salvador-Bahia-Brasil.

The story between Magno and Petti is largely a function of dreams, motivation, overcoming obstacles and successes.
None is a simple guy from the periphery of Salvador, that has been crowning up working with his mother’s Maria Helena at the kiosk on the beach of Boa Viagem and usually in the new year’s school holidays we went around the Salvador City to work in many squares festivals as called as Festas de Largos. My mother trip’s started a bit earlier than 8th, December where happens the party of Conceição da Praia and then Boa Viagem, Roma, Bomfim, Ribeira, Rio Vermelho, Pituba, Itapuã, Arembepe and close the trip with the most expected moment that was the Carnival of Savaldor. All trips together takes approximately 3 months. I’ll confess to you that I loved it. So, at some of does parties I saw some guys playing Capoeira and afterwards at Boa Viagem beach with my course Agostinho. We trained by the beach and he taught me some tricks and I saw also a Capoeirista as well known as Master Dendê at was training alone by the beach and one day we played together and he was very happy to hear that I was interested about Capoeira. In Valença- Ba at my grandmas Luzia’s place I played a lot with my others courses as called as Silvino, Elinaldo, Elineide e Luiz, we trained at the Pó de Serra. Just for the record I started to training capoeira for real when I was about 14 years old in 1998 in Salvador at the Cultural Association of Sport Clips Academy with almost all Master’s Jorge Satélite students. Here, I thank all my family, my brothers and sisters from the patience, from all classes, advices, motivations and thanks also to everyone that has had trained or are training Capoeira with me as well.
I love to training, to teach ,to be with my friends enjoying the Capoeira rodas, festival and championships around world. I have had teaching Capoeira to many children, adolescents, youth, adults and elderly in some projects in Salvador, Rio de Janeiro and Finland. Master Petti travel around the world with Capoeira and at moment he is sourcing for some sponsors or partnerships that can support him as a the First Capoeira athlete to represent Finland in the international competitions and events.

In 2010, Master Jorge Satélite graduated me as a Capoeira teacher and in 2022 as a Capoeira Master.

During my professional life in Capoeira I organized many events, folk show and Capoeira workshop as well. In November, 2023 we had 2nd international Woman Capoeira Meeting (Helinä Rautavaara in Memoriam), held by the Suomen Capoeiraliitto.
He is the first athlete to represents Finland in the international Capoeira Championships. On January 2021 he won in 1st place in Budapest-Hungary Capoeira competition and in 2022 he was 2nd place in Zakopane-Poland at Tatra Capoeira competition.

Recently he won a belt in 1st place at Tallinn – Estonia Cup Competition.

He obtained the title of International Capoeira Referee by the World Capoeira Federation, is CEO of Clips Academia Europa and President of the Finnish Capoeira Federation – SCL.

My dream is to promote Capoeira as a source of health for all target groups, I want to see kids, mom’s and dad’s and all family enjoy the environment as I believe that we can do business in life, but at the same time be warm, supportive, motivating others to have a healthy lifestyle and have positive attitudes to be helpful to the society where our we are all together, seeking the best path to the happiness.
